Three armed men robbed a KFC restaurant in BaiYun District of Guangzhou yesterday morning shortly after the restaurant opened.
No casualties were reported among the five restaurant workers at the scene, today's Southern Metropolis Daily reported. No customers were there.
The gunmen escaped from the scene after allegedly taking 10,000 yuan (US$1,464.43) by threatening workers with two guns and a knife. They smashed the restaurant's security camera, the report said.
Police are still hunting the suspects.
